Three cities. One essential India journey.
Delhi, Jaipur and Agra — three iconic cities experienced through monuments, neighbourhoods, food and the stories that connect them.
Why these places belong together.
From the layered streets of Delhi to Jaipur's royal architecture and the timeless Taj Mahal, discover three very different faces of northern India — with the details handled by people who know them personally.
Recommended route · Delhi → Jaipur → Agra → Delhi
How the days run.
A working shape, not a fixed timetable — every day can be slowed down, swapped, or given another night.
- 01Day 1
Delhi
Arrive in Delhi and explore Old Delhi — the lanes around Chandni Chowk, and the city as it was before it was a capital.
- 02Day 2
Delhi
New Delhi, its monuments and neighbourhoods, at the pace of someone who lives here rather than a coach timetable.
- 03Day 3
Delhi → Jaipur
Drive to Jaipur, arriving in time for an evening market or food experience as the city cools.
- 04Day 4
Jaipur
Amber, the old city and Jaipur's living culture — the workshops and households still working behind the facades.
- 05Day 5
Jaipur → Agra
Drive to Agra by way of Fatehpur Sikri, the capital that was built, used briefly, and abandoned.
- 06Day 6
Agra → Delhi
The Taj Mahal and Agra Fort in the morning light, then the return to Delhi.
The parts people remember.
Old Delhi on foot
The lanes, the food, and the layers of a city that has been rebuilt seven times.
Amber before the crowds
Arrive early, walk the ramparts while the light is still low over the valley.
A Jaipur food evening
Eat where the city eats, with someone who can order properly.
The Taj at first light
The one time of day the marble does what everyone came to see it do.

Photographs from this journey.
Taken by us and by the people who travelled with us. Nothing here is a stock photograph, and nothing has been staged for it.
We ask before we publish a photograph of anyone recognisable, and you can always change your mind afterwards.
Tell us how you like to travel.
Roughly when you are coming, how long you have, and what you would rather not miss. A sentence or two is plenty — we answer every enquiry ourselves, usually within a day.
We usually reply within 24 hours.
