The experience

Shop Jaipur with a local.

Led by a local female host from Jaipur, this walk helps you explore the Pink City's markets without feeling overwhelmed or being steered into tourist shops. She explains what each bazaar specialises in, introduces the crafts behind what you are looking at, talks to shopkeepers on your behalf and helps you read prices and quality. There are no compulsory purchases.

Worth knowing before you book

  • For expensive jewellery or loose gemstones, ask for a detailed invoice, metal purity and weight, disclosure of whether a stone is natural, synthetic or treated, and a recognised laboratory certificate where relevant.
  • Your host will help you ask the right questions and compare shops, but she will not personally guarantee or certify a gemstone. High-value purchases need their own documentation.
